This urban backyard suffered the brunt of a 2-year house renovation and had lost its identity and functionality. Homeowners commissioned Dirt Girl Landscaping to design and build exclusively with native plants and turf. We sculpted perimeter gardens with a natural flow while leaving the majority of the area for outdoor living and play areas for the children. Native plants were the key requirement - chosen to fit the micro-climate conditions as well as client preferences in colour, sentimentality and ease of maintenance. Ornamental rocks were added for form and winter interest and a new cedar fence was commissioned to add additional privacy to their outdoor living area.
